I would recommend these if you are looking to upgrade your hitch. Installation took about an hour and a half. Once my trailer is hitched to my truck, it doesn't sit as hard as it used to. When decoupled, there is about 1 inch clearance between the timbres and the axis. When loaded, it sits far enough to make contact so any bumps in the road are a progressive spring load, not sudden, hard bumps. .I was arguing between theses and airbags, opting for them for the lower initial cost and the ease of not having to inflate/deflate airbags every time I plug or unplug my camper, as well as avoiding leaks along the way. any harder or bumpier ride without towing. There's a little rebound when towing, but it's slow and progressive and not as severe as soil at the bumpers.
