The PSU was purchased in March 2020 for a primary home NAS build. Anyone who understands this use case understands that it requires EXTREMELY low power consumption but 24/7 uptime. I wanted a power supply in case I was using the server for other purposes like a gaming VM. However, after just a few months of very light NAS use, I woke up one morning to find the server had failed badly. Tried another power supply, other cables. nothing until I replaced the PSU myself with a spare I had for another build. Of course it turned back on and confirmed that the power supply from the master cooler was not working. The power supply was always plugged into an uninterruptible power supply, so there's no chance there was a weird power surge or anything else that could burn out the power supply. It's just very poorly built. Which is probably the reason for the low price. There's a reason there are so many bad reviews. This is a HORRIBLE product. DO NOT BUY. Even if you have to shell out the extra $10-$20, it's worth saving yourself the inevitable headache that comes with replacing the product with another cheap Cooler Master repair if you return the product within 5 years have to. The only good thing is that you get plenty of RMA practice almost immediately.
