Review on 🧀 Auzilar Silicone Cooking Gloves: Heat Resistant BBQ Kitchen Oven Mitts for Grilling, Baking, and Barbecue by Dan West

Best potholders I've ever had

These are my first pair of nonwoven potholders and they are great! The insulation is great, allowing me to keep a hot pan on longer than with cloth mittens. I don't know about the rest, but I'm pretty good at getting things out of the oven without proper planning. ("Shit, that doesn't fit in there.") I also don't burn myself from the wet stain, which completely destroys the insulation on cloth gloves. Since they are rubber and have fingers, they hold up well. They're a bit clumsy with small items as they're a little stiff, but nowhere near as clumsy as cloth mittens. For example, I've used them to remove George Foreman's hot griddles and place them in the sink. It was uncomfortable due to the small clips holding the panels, but not too bad and I didn't feel any heat while working. I love that I can just take my fried plates (or pans) and pop them straight into the sink with hot water and just rinse off my mittens. I can pull boiled eggs straight out of the water or corn out of the steamer. I should have bought a couple of these a few years ago. It is definitely a worthwhile investment. Another detail: I have big hands with long fingers. I wear XL gloves and they fit. They feel a bit tight/short in the fingers but that doesn't bother me and they're new so they can soften up a bit.
