I've just replaced my plastic knife holder with this amazing magnetic holder. All my knives didn't fit with the old one. They will stick out from above. Because of this, I cut myself once while reaching for a knife. Also, the plastic insert made me constantly pull out the knife to make sure I got the right one since the knife blade was invisible in the block. Also, there was no way to pull out the liner and clean it. This magnetic block exceeds expectations! It takes up less counter space than my old pad. It's thin and smooth. This is similar to the more expensive blocks that sell for hundreds of dollars. I like seeing through the ability. No more guessing which knife to pull out. Cleaning brushes are included. If you have mismatched knives like I do, this block will handle it. I was able to assemble 14 knives!
