I really liked this utensil but when I put it on the worktop I couldn't get the knife out because the overhead cabinets got in the way. So only order if you plan to put it on a kitchen island or similar place without anything above it.

My husband bought me a good set of kitchen knives and ordered a magnetic knife holder. Works beautifully and I am happy with how the knives are presented on the knife holder. The very high-quality magnetic wood and the glass protection are a nice accent for more knife protection.

I love the magnetic knife block because of: - its thin silhouette (freed up space on my counter) - its looks and the safety of the acrylic protection (from my cats which is definitely on the counter when I am not there) next) I thought long and hard before deciding on this knife block and I really like it. This secura knife set has arrived and I love it! I have a limited amount of countertop and drawer space in the kitchen. This knife block takes up very little space on my countertop and looks attractive. In total there are 12 knives in different sizes. I've just replaced my plastic knife holder with this amazing magnetic holder. All my knives didn't fit with the old one. They will stick out from above. Because of this, I cut myself once while reaching for a knife. Also, the plastic insert made me constantly pull out the knife to make sure I got the right one since the knife blade was invisible in the block. This is a nice block that's a cool way to show off your good knives. This worked great for my larger knives, if anything the magnets were too aggressive for them. But for some reason this was very difficult with my 6" or smaller chef's knives. I have a set of VG10 Japanese kitchen knives and an alternate set of IKEA blades that I change depending on what I'm cooking or doing.
