I received this piece today and am disappointed with Freud's packaging. Although the clamshell is easy to open without the need for a sharp knife and a little blasting powder, a normal burst of charge will not safely stop the club from moving. The shank is simply held in the front of the clamshell, "snapping" into the molded recess, allowing the bit to fall out of the holder and rattle in the packaging. If you have experience with carbide tips, you know that they are easily damaged on impact. My racquet is not damaged, but it could be different. I appreciate the "no disappointment" packaging but a piece of rigid foam or some sort of pad in the clamshell to keep the racquet in the holder would be much better than what Freud did. ... Haven't used the racquet yet but I expect it to be of the usual Freudian quality and durability.
