I bought these after my feet and legs were so swollen that I had to see a doctor. The problem stuck in my veins because I spent hours at home on my computer during the pandemic. I should note that I am also being treated for diabetes and high blood pressure. I bought these compression stockings to relieve the pain. I have to say after reading some of the posts I was skeptical that they were nothing more than regular socks or no compression at all. Despite the fact that so many socks at such a low price arouse skepticism. I've worn three pairs and was pleasantly surprised. Based on the chart and measuring my calves (18 inches) I ordered 2XL. I wore them all day every day. I wore socks one day because I had to wear a white dress. That evening, my daughter noticed that my right foot and leg were swollen. I would like to add that I washed the socks once and they feel the same as the first day. I have a sister who is recovering from breast cancer and wears compression stockings and I recommended them to her. While I cannot confirm that every batch can produce the same results, I am currently very happy with my purchase. I will also add that the fabric is more like a ribbed sock. I'm 5ft 0.0 and when stretched the top of the sock fits my knees. I hope it helps.
