Initial review: February 2109 - Product didn't work for me. My cabinet door hinges don't provide enough pressure (NO pressure really) to close them. Therefore, if the door touched the damper, it would not close without manually pushing it. I returned the dampers to Revain and replaced the hinges with self-closing, soft-close hinges that work well. So if my old hinges were spring loaded, this product would work for sure. UPDATE March 2019: I am revising my assessment of these shocks. My original purchase was for cabinet doors that didn't close automatically and the dampers on those doors didn't work. But I've bought dampers for other cabinets in the house that have self-closing hinges that slam shut. I installed shock absorbers and they work very well. It literally took me a minute or two to install each one. What a pleasant surprise I had and still have as I close the door now. It only takes a little push to set the door in motion, and when it hits the damper it will continue to close at a comfortable, smooth speed. Nice to get rid of that pesky cotton. I give them 5 stars because they work so well. Thanks Rock!
