Review on Pirelli Ice Zero 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Barczuk ᠌

The worst purchase in my life, don't repeat my mistake

Experience of driving on this rubber - 2 years. At the same time, the second car has a different tire and there is something to compare with! Who here is trying to answer and justify this rubber - you seem to be sweeter than G . But you haven’t tried anything. When I sit behind the wheel of another car with normal tires, I have no problems entering a turn, accelerating and braking. At Pirelli ice zero, you are constantly in suspense, constantly thinking and straining so that the car does not skid. Side skids is generally just a song! It leads you to the side on bare asphalt for 40 km. hour! I have never experienced this on any rubber, even on Velcro! Considering that it makes a lot of noise and drives it a lot on asphalt, one thing can be said - the quality of the product is simply below the baseboard! It's made of rubber that hardens in sub-zero temperatures! I do not recommend this misunderstanding from Pirelli to anyone. And in general, I don’t have the best attitude towards this brand: 1. I had a chance to ride one season on Velcro Pirelli ice and snow (got along with the car). So - it was possible to ride it ONLY on asphalt. Snow and ice is not for her: very slippery! As a result, I sold and bought a Finnish spike. 2. I also drove a Pirelli P ZERO with Runflet in the summer - oak is just hellish! It is clear that it is tough because of Runflet technology, but it should slow down! But as it turned out, I should, but I don’t have to . in the end I changed it to a more worthy one. As a result, from my experience I can say that Pirelli no longer exists for me as a tire manufacturer. I didn't like ANY of the options I tried. At the same time, switching to another manufacturer, I was just relieved that I no longer need to work where the rubber should work ! PS: I deliberately do not say what kind of rubber I switched to, so as not to be considered an advertisement.

Pros
  • The advantage of this model is only one - the name on the sidewall "Pirelli"
Cons
  • 1. NOISE: it hums as if you are about to take off! 2. Handling on asphalt and in a rut: it's just some kind of HELL! Just a terrible side slip! Terrible grip properties on the pavement: it does not slow down and constantly skids!
