I needed a portable charger that would work with my NEMA 10-30 dry plug. The other ones available that were rated at 30 amps were not rated for a 10-30 plug or drew more than 24 amps which is unsafe for the circuit as they should only be rated for 80% of the maximum. I contacted Splitvolt with some clarifying questions and they responded quickly and professionally. When received the unit was packaged well and securely with good cable weights as it should be. The connector has a nice rubber cap over the connector and comes with a carrying case. Happy with the purchase, charges my car with no problems. I'm glad to see a portable charger with the correct NEMA 10-30 rating, as not everyone can install a 40 or 50 amp circuit in most older homes without significant financial investment.
