I recently cut my cable and since many of the streaming TVs don't have NBC, ABC, CBS mainstream I needed to be able to watch my favorite shows locally. Now that I have that, I added a 32GB flash drive and then plugged it in. You have to scan the channels, I did, the only problem I had was the flimsy stand that came with the flat antenna. First, the cable itself is heavy and puts some weight on the flat antenna and stand, making positioning for channel access very difficult. Perhaps a slightly heavier or better constructed base would be a better option. I actually had to tape it to the back of my TV. Now that's the part that doesn't concern me. I LOVE the DVR box part, it's small yet works well. You can set up recording just for that day, not several days in advance, but it's better than missing my favorite shows and local news. For less money in one go than I paid for my monthly DVR box from my cable company.
