Don't bother looking for them at your local hardware store...they aren't there. I bought a Dutch made cargo bike with Sturmey Archer hubs on all three wheels. The rear wheel had the original 13/32 Sturmey Archer axle nuts, but the front wheels were missing the axle nuts. I mistakenly thought the front axles were the same (13/32) but that wasn't the case. After ordering the wrong ones I finally looked up the front hub specs on the Sturmey Archer website and found that the front axles fit an M9 x 1.0 nut. I ordered these and they fit. What else can I ask?
