I changed my Skoda Superb to Goodyear Ice Arctic last year. A couple of times Velcro was blown off the road, I decided to try the spikes. Goody did not disappoint, even with a passing truck in the oncoming lane, you don’t have to catch a car in ice. It brakes perfectly even in emergency cases. In wet snow, sometimes it seems that the car is floating, but it retains its trajectory. In general, the grip is good, even when not just ice, but under a thin layer of snow, the tread apparently does not clog much. After one season, the spikes are all in place, although the dry road also had a lot of travel.
