Review on Portable 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Power Switches and Lights - High-Speed Data Splitter and Extension Hub for Laptops, PCs, and More (No Power Adapter) by Eric Dailey

Works with design flaws

Here's the basic truth: This thing is cheap, but it works and seems to work well. This 4-port USB 3.0 hub weighs next to nothing, is tiny, and is made of cheap plastic, but it does what it says on the tin. WHAT I LIKE: - Separate switches to turn off unused ports/power - It works; I plugged in my Galaxy S9 Plus and it started charging, although it took 2.5 hours to charge (it's not the hub's fault). WHAT I DON'T LIKE: A big problem is that the cable is too short. It looks like 6 inches / 15 cm and is pretty much useless as is. I either have to place it directly over my PC's power button (see image) or dangle it in front. not very attractive or safe, that's all said, it's still a pretty decent deal. The point is, he does what he says. It may be cheap plastic and a very short cord, but you get what you pay for. However, if you buy one, I'd recommend getting a USB extender so you can place it where you need it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
