I installed them on the front of my Mazdaspeed 3 300hp. So much so that sometimes your shoulder hurts when you press the seat belt, it's amazing. Pedal feel is really good too, with just the right amount of effort for every demand. If you're wondering why I didn't just quit OEMs, the answer is they're expensive and they break incredibly fast. After only a few (at most) abrupt stops, they turn into pretty soft garbage. As I drive quite vigorously and race every now and then, I needed something better. I've been looking for quite a while for brake pads that bite as hard as the OEM but without losing the brake. So far I've tried Hawk HPS, EBC Redstuff and StopTech Posi. All of these bars had their good qualities (except for Posi), but they all let me down. On Redstuff, I almost had to step on the brake pedal to get decent stopping power. They didn't disappear over time like the OEMs, but they seemed like a step in the wrong direction for high-performance brake pads. They also had horrible brake vibration when hot (I've tried everything to fix this). The Hawk HPS were an improvement, although they didn't offer the same bite but had decent traction with good pedal feel. The bad news was that they were noisy and had terrible brake fade in high temperatures. StopTech posi-somethings were just awful in every way. They lasted about 200 miles on my car before I ripped them off and threw them out the window. All of this bad luck eventually led me to buy EBC Yellowstuff on a whim. In short, my search is over. While they don't offer the original bite of the original pads (unicorn piss?), they offer better grip and pedal feel overall. These things stop abruptly as hell and keep the same pressure on the pedal throughout the stop. Add some warmth and things get even better. The best thing about these pads is that there's virtually no brake damping, seriously. When I made a bed in the process (10 hard stops from 60 to 10 mph), these pads just wouldn't stop biting. They held up just as well from 1 stop to 10 stops. I had to make 3 additional hard stops to finally feel some pressure loss (my rear brakes were unhappy). I've never had a set of brake pads that did this. Usually the pedal fails after the first 5 stops. Needless to say, my jaw dropped. These pads inspire some confidence, every time I step on the brake pedal I know exactly what's going to happen, I get loads of awesome gravy traction and 0 disappearance (insert satisfaction seal). The sad part is they sat in my toolbox for 6 months before I installed them. If I had known how good these pads were, I would have installed them the day the delivery man left them on my neighbor's doorstep (every time). Oh one bad thing about these pads is they generate a lot of brake dust (just like OEM), luckily I have gunmetal wheels so it's hard to tell.
