I have replaced all the ugly brass doorknobs in the house with these levers to give them a modern look and they have made a world of difference to our house. What I didn't expect is that they are much smoother, quieter and more reliable than the knobs they replaced. Now a year and a half later and they were perfect. Installation was easy and I got through pretty quickly and was able to replace the handle in about five minutes. Where the old knobs wobbled and made noises, clicks and squeaks, these new Kwiksets turn silently, not even a click, and they feel a lot more solid when you use them. Example: I get up early and don't want to disturb my spouse, so I quietly close the bedroom door.
