Bought for work with a silencer on a modern sporting rifle. I had no idea how hot they get during use, and they don't cool down quickly before it's time to pack up at the shooting range and head home. The first time I used my Mechanix glove and as you can see the glove melted almost immediately. I cut off a piece of this blanket and it worked fantastic! It got warm, but I was able to easily remove and deal with the muffler. I also cut another piece to wrap around the end of the muzzle adapter on the rifle before putting it back in my pocket. Better than $60 muffler gloves or uncomfortable welding gloves from the hardware store.
