Review on Ratchets Suitable Electric Maintenance Improvement by Matthew Hoang

Not bad, will get the job done

This is probably a good enough set that will definitely help you with those unusual *metric* jobs around the house or small areas of your home. Car, bike, quad, etc. This set is available here at Revain for $5 less than other brands, so search "1/4 Ratchet Set" for the best price. The mark of origin is on the packaging or the contents, so I'm assuming it's Made in China. Tolerances are not that great, in particular the heads fit somewhat unlovingly on square discs. The gimbal looks weak; I wouldn't expect this to withstand too much torque, but it's probably good enough to get the bolts out without just loosening and tightening them. Note this is a METRIC set so no 3/8, 7/16 etc but otherwise a good selection of sockets, bits, knobs and extensions. The blown body is good in this regard. The clasp keeps the case closed and snaps securely into place. This is much better than working with a vise. So if you're short on cash and need metric sizes, this might be a good deal for you. However, if you can afford it, it might be worth stepping up. The TEKTON branded set looks beautiful and chances are any set you receive will last you a long time if you don't lose it. The pain of poor quality lasts much longer than the pain of having to pay a little more.

Pros
  • Socket Sets
Cons
  • Not everything fits
