I use this cable for my projection display. I have a USB-C connection > HDMI -> Active HDMI > VGA -> Projector. Haven't had any problems with cables lately. I've only used this for watching videos and playing games, but so far so good! I also connected it to my TV via HDMI. This works like any other HDMI cable. DELL XPS 13 USER PLEASE READ: I recently had an issue with this cable due to my laptop not recognizing the connected device. All I did was go to the Dell support site and download the driver and software updates and change a BIOS setting and I was spot on! To change the BIOS setting, press F12 on startup, find Thunderbolt 3.0 in the menu, and select "No Authorization" in Security Settings.
