Bought two of these locks in 2019 to install in my commercial office building. Both professionally installed. Exactly two years later one failed. The motor inside the lock runs constantly, but the lock does not lock. I replaced the battery hoping it would be an easy fix but no luck. This castle is little used as the building has been vacant for most of 2020 due to the pandemic. The installer who installed it came back to have a look and said he had never seen anyone behave like that. He contacted Alarm Lock, which makes Trilogy locks, to see if the lock and parts were covered under warranty. He was told that the lock is guaranteed for two years FROM THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE, which means that if any of these locks have been in stock for any length of time prior to sale it may no longer be guaranteed by the time you receive it. These locks don't come cheap, costing around $500 for professional installation. I wish the warranty information was better listed in the product description.
