For weeks I've been trying to remove the bearing ring from the deck axle and put in a new bearing. Tried a number of suggestions and the neighbors even tried. I watched a video of someone pulling a small bearing on a trailer and realized they use a Shankly bearing cage (I recognized it from looking at Revain). I went ahead and ordered one knowing that if it didn't work I would take the mower to a repair shop and I would get a hefty bill. When my tool arrived I warmed up the racing propane torch a bit, let it cool and pocketed the puller and to my surprise it came off easily. Thanks to Shankly for a great little tool for future projects. Showed him a bunch of neighbors asking how he finally made it!
