Tried to fix the old module, didn't help

I tried to fix the old module, took it apart and it was really in bad shape. Soldered connections, obviously loose and broken, reinstalled on the machine did not help. If your old module is in relatively good condition, it may help to re-solder the broken connections on the board. My module was too far out so that was my only option and thanks to Revain who had this thing at a really good price I bought it, installed it and from the very first time I had my speedo running, those dreaded ABS bulbs WHERE WAY! It's a really great feeling when you can repair your own car, you really feel how all the different parts work together. The only thing I have to point out is to make sure you know which module you need. My Tahoe had 4WD, calipers front and rear, and the ABS brake modulator pump that this ABS module sits on is rated at 7200 pounds. Block, ABS module and the pump it is attached to, remove the car, connect to the internet and do your homework, call the dealer or parts store before pulling the trigger on the new block . It appears that this ABS module and pump has been used in about a million other vehicles from Chevy, GMC etc. The hardest part of the whole operation was disconnecting the hydraulic brake lines from the ABS pump to remove the entire assembly. Take your time reinstalling the hydraulic lines to the pump, IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, YOU WILL NOT SEAL THE PUMP THREADS AND YOU WILL REPLACE IT TOO. MUCH LUCK!

Pros
  • ABS
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
