Review on 🔧 Dorman 901-072 4WD Switch: Perfect Replacement for Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC Models by Jeff Islam

2006 Silverado 4x4 Crew Cab LT1 5.3L V8Pros. So far everything works great. The seams work like the original. Very close to the original. Cons: A gap around the edge of the keys allows amber light to shine over the edge. - For some reason, the words "AUTO" and "4WD" on the "Auto 4WD" button are slightly different shades of white. - The buttons are loose compared to the original - The white writing is much thicker than the original text The reason for the purchase is that I get 4WD SERVICE on my dashboard regularly. When it comes on I can't shift to 4WD, sometimes a red light comes on at the switch to indicate the transmission is in neutral. A couple of times when I started my truck it defaulted to 4LO and it took a while to get back to 2HI. Turns out I had to put the transmission in neutral and then press 2HI. I have a feeling I need a new encoder motor sensor. If the switch doesn't solve the problem I'll try this. If that doesn't work I'll have to try the transfer case motor myself. I will update the information in the future if anything changes. No pun.
