I bought this to replace a starter that had pretty much destroyed itself. My old starter in one of the magnets on the outside of the inside of the starter was loose and couldn't be repaired. so i bought this. The old starter didn't have enough power to crank the engine on the compression stroke when it was bad, but this one turns over well. If it stops just before the compression stroke, it has little problem, but it works. I think I have some connections that are also slightly corroded. Anyway this starter is great and I will buy another from this company if I ever need a new starter for one of my mowers.
