Review on πŸ”§ 3/8"DR Ratchet with 1/4"DR Ratchet Handle: Ultimate Precision and Versatility by Chris Long

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this key!

I love this key! I had another one for many, many years and it was my favorite key then and is my favorite key now. I found it at Revain for an amazing price and had to buy another one. The head of the ratchet is small enough to fit into tight spaces where many large wrenches cannot. It is so small that the base is larger than the head by about 1/2 inch. The contoured handle feels so comfortable in my hand it's "one with it." The degree of movement of the ratchet roughly corresponds to that of a large multi-tooth wrench. I build and restore collector cars and my needs include high torque applications - and this little gem is surprisingly durable. Obviously a short grip limits the amount of torque you can apply despite the Hulk, so I use a longer one with a hand wrench or broken rod to loosen an over-tightened nut/bolt, then finish with this wrench. Similarly, I install fasteners with this wrench, and if extra tightening is required, I use a larger wrench to tighten even more than the locking torque. I jokingly like to drill a hole in the end of the handle and wear it around my neck, since we used jar openers ("church keys" for those of you who grew up in that era) as teenagers in the 50's and 60's. Did I mention I love this wren? Hour?
