Quality and Affordable Made in the USA

I bought mine through wholesale tool liquidators at Revain and it was a few bucks cheaper and still got 2 days free shipping. A very impressive tool. It's definitely a niche tool, but if you need it, you'll be glad you have it. Beautifully made in the USA. I don't necessarily buy just because of the country of origin. Taiwan produces many of the highest quality instruments. But if the instrument is of high quality and available from the USA, I'm happy. This tool just feels good. Feel free toโ€ฆ

An example of American craftsmanship

This kid is adorable. I mostly use 3/8 sockets and appreciate how small (the size of a 1/4 ratchet) but well made this ratchet is. Wright is also one of the last truly American tool companies (privately owned, with American workers, all American products made from American steel). I used to be a big fan of Craftsman given the overall value (price, quality) but lately most of their wares go abroad and call me a racist but I just can't stand the idea of buying something so American like tools and

Nice. Can be improved.

The simple forging is as beautiful as anything Tiffany has ever made. The selector switch is not processed that well. The mechanism never slips and the selector switch is crucial, but everything has more play than necessary. For me the handle is longer than necessary. I'm a bit picky because this tool is so close to perfection. Wright, if you're wondering, here's what you can do to achieve this: shorten the LOA from 3+(1/2) to 4 inches, increase the number of teeth to 60 (or even better 80)โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

I love this key!

I love this key! I had another one for many, many years and it was my favorite key then and is my favorite key now. I found it at Revain for an amazing price and had to buy another one. The head of the ratchet is small enough to fit into tight spaces where many large wrenches cannot. It is so small that the base is larger than the head by about 1/2 inch. The contoured handle feels so comfortable in my hand it's "one with it." The degree of movement of the ratchet roughly corresponds to that ofโ€ฆ
