Review on 🦁 Exploring the wild: TSB Banister Safari Regular Gray by Juanita Vipond

Safe and beautiful, but takes time to open and close.

Having tried several other high quality children's gates, I was fed up with the small holes and external pressure that many put on the railings, causing them to protrude over time. I didn't want to drill into the oak railings so I had very few options. Initially I turned down this gate due to the price and lack of knowledge of the product. The gate is relatively easy. It takes a few minutes to use and install. The downside of the design is that it takes 2 hands and 10-15 seconds to properly open and tuck away. Double that time, at least if you want it to close behind you. I know it doesn't sound like much, but for a parent who has other upright toddlers who need constant access to stairs, this is enough to be a hindrance. In fact, my favorite way of using gates is to step over them. The gate looks very beautiful and is often mentioned for its uniqueness and attractive appearance. I feel the fabric is very durable and will last a very long time with frequent use. I think a pet scratching the canvas can be a problem for some owners and I could see a lot of hair collecting on it. If I could change or improve one aspect of this barrier it would be to increase its closed stability by adding a crossbar that can go in and out from the outside when closed to connect the inner supports together. Otherwise I'm very happy with this barrier and will likely purchase another one if needed.
