I bought another set from Amazon which includes the pliers I use every day. My kids broke the bowl while playing. So I had to look for a replacement. I was a little upset because I liked what we had. I ordered this one hoping it would be similar to what I had. It was just as if not better! It is a smooth matte finish that is difficult for worms/insects to penetrate. This is the perfect size for a small/medium sized reptile. It wipes clean and looks very nice in the tank. I've never had problems with food or worms. A small ledge around the plate helps keep even small crickets away.
