I ride a lot. Friends told me I had to wear a helmet but I'm a tough guy who grew up in the 70's. We didn't wear helmets. One day I accidentally bought this helmet. Luckily I was in it two days ago when I landed face down on the concrete while moving at about 22 mph. First the front of my helmet hit the concrete, then my face intervened to slow me. The photo above shows how much of the impact was absorbed by the foam liner. Despite numerous injuries to his face, arms and legs, not a scratch remained on his forehead. (Apparently Revain won't let me show you these injuries.) I've had no brain injuries other than the thought of having to pay emergency bills and replace broken equipment. I firmly believe that without this helmet I would now be in the hospital or worse the morgue. If you are arguing between this and another similarly priced helmet, I can tell you this one works. If you are arguing between this and the more expensive one, I can't say which is better. However, if you're arguing about whether a helmet is even worth buying, I'll tell you what you think? Buy this helmet! It costs less than dinner for one person and could save your life.
