Review on πŸ”§ SC2963 Monroe Magnum Steering Damper by Ronny Goodman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

2004 Chevy 2500 HD, Silverado Damper/Stabilizer

Chevy 2500 used to move from the yellow to the white line, All components have been replaced including ball joints, hubs, both tensioners, regulators. Bracket, inner and outer tie rods etc. as well as the steering gear. etc. I don't drive monster tires or a lift kit. I ride on 10-ply "heavy tires". The truck drifted due to the road grade, wind and minor road bumps. Even in the snow ruts leaving my territory, I left the wheel untouched and watched it turn left and right, following the ruts. Soft entertainment. After deciding to order one, I looked under the car to figure out how I would mount it. .Chevy actually had a factory mount on the frame and a damper hole in the tie rod; but the factory damper is not installed! so i went to camp. I heard Chevy would put it on a diesel model. The installation took me 10 minutes. and 10 minutes to find a 1/2" x 3" bolt and nut not included. (tightened it with a socket for 2-eek), (eek-eek), lol. Torque specification is included. So Monroe Damper fixed 97.8436732% of all tracking issues. The trails are straight, the wheel no longer wobbles and thankfully it didn't interfere with the wheel returning to center! (Photo for reference only for bracket location) 33T20P/35T "Do not attempt to install the unit if you are intoxicated, pregnant, or both."
