Review on CURT 40053 Stainless Trailer Diameter by Jerry Forehand

This has been on my Curt Ball Mount for several years and it is still in great condition. Although I don't tow much I bought this when I lived on the coast seeing what salt air/water/sand does in a short amount of time with a standard ball. Although not stainless steel, the nut and lock washer still look good. I have no issues with the zinc plated nut/lockwasher due to the galling issues mentioned, plus that's not the part of the ball that should be stainless steel. The fact is, no coating on a ball will hold up in tow. So if you want it to stay decent, the ball needs to be made of durable, rust-resistant material, which is what this one is.
