This helps when you need something small for your cat or small dog to lie down to keep warm. You'll see it's small in the pictures, but it's the perfect size for kitties to warm their paws and buttocks and to curl up (see both in my photos!). My three kittens have also now been seen sitting or lying on it just a few days after placement. No one seemed interested when I first put it in and bet on twenty-five. When I bumped it up to forty, it seemed like a good number to them! The pad or cable felt too hot every time I plugged it in. It's been down for about two weeks now, always on with no problems. Definitely cat hair and dirt on it, but that's why the cover can be removed. The cable is a little chunky as it's very stiff and wide, but that doesn't really bother me. All in all I'd say it's a hit!
