These are a game changer for me! I need a total hip replacement, and my leg is raised from the hip. For the past four years, I've only been able to wear sneakers with 3/4" heel lift inside. The ones I bought before did the trick in the winter with socks, but since they were all vinyl they weren't that comfortable without socks in the heat. They weren't adhesive so didn't work in any shoe without a back to hold them. I just decided to try the Dr. Foot, and I'm walking in flip flops for the first time! The top layer is comfortable against my foot and not sticking in the summer heat. I would have given 5 stars, BUT since I needed to build three layers to get the right height, I can only use one of the lifts :-( If the company would add an extra layer to each package as my previous brand had (or make the layers higher), they would be PERFECT.
