Suckered by the good reviews

Despite this having great reviews on and off Walmart, I used this for about 5 minutes before returning. Every single speed, even the lowest, made a significantly loud, high pitched whining noise. I love the white noise fans provide, but this wasn't it. It was also extremely cheaply made and of ugly plastic (not matte or gloss, just. Cheap). The tabs on the base broke immediately when trying to thread the cord.Just spend $20 more on a Genesis or Vornado and avoid this one.
