Review on 🪚 CMT PPJ-002 Pocket-Pro Starter Set: Compact and Convenient Woodworking Essential Kit by John Iverson

My brother has a Kreg pocket hole tool but I needed my own tools so I looked up Revain and found this CMT pocket hole tool. It was about two-thirds the cost of a similar blue light, so I decided to take a chance and give it a try. I was most concerned about the quality compared to the blue brand. Well I was very happy with the quality and design of this light. I suspected it might be made in China, like most instruments these days, but as far as I can tell it's made in the EU. At least the drill says "Made in EU" so I'm guessing everything else is as well. CMTutensili has offices in Italy, Spain and the United States. Once set up and used, the CMT mount works much like the blue mount except the mount and clamp are separate and need to be attached to a workbench or plywood support piece or maybe a 1X6 which can then be attached to a bench . The blue template has a clamp and drill guides mounted together on a base that can be clamped, but I don't think that's a big deal. I think it will just be a personal preference which best suits your needs. Only time will tell if I made the right choice, but so far I am very happy with my purchase. Update: 06/30/12 So far no problems with this device and I am very happy with how it is performing. Functionality and durability are more than enough for casual users like me.
