Review on Duraflame Electric Fireplace Stove - Cream: 1500W Infrared Heater with Flickering Flame Effects by Andy Jolley

Update: Impressing now

wanted to update my original review. After a few days of use, it now warms the room sufficiently. I suspect it needed a "warm up" period. I still think it's overpriced and you pay for 'looks' so I didn't rate it higher. Not impressed with this device. I had to spend $30 on a Walmart heater. Given the cost and size, it's not efficient for space heating. My house is very small, less than 600 square feet I believe, and I've been running this thing at full power for 48 hours now. It's still cold in the house, I still need thick socks, I still need a blanket and a sweater. Lighting a fireplace is a nice idea, but if the device doesn't work then it's just a waste of energy and space. The heating blows at ground level. Save money and buy a small pad for $30. What doesn't work takes up a lot of space.

Pros
  • Infrared heat helps maintain natural humidity resulting in moist, comfortable warmth without drying out the air in the room
Cons
  • too stupid
