Removable insert makes it easy to add or change yarn. The insert, which has 8 pockets for 8 skeins, also has handles. Unless you are very tall (more than 5ft 10in), it is too long to carry by the shoulder straps. The handle length is perfect for carrying on the shoulder. it's big - consider wearing 8 huge strands, two in a row and vertical. Within 8 pockets you can select multiple projects - knitting needles/hook, pattern and accessories etc. instead of a single project with multiple thread colors.
