Great product. Short Story - I used one of these outside to mend a broken cable. Of course, the first rain caused a bit of corrosion and broke the connection. I thought about cleaning the contacts of the wires, but it didn't help. My curiosity got the better of me and I decided to open it up and see what was inside. Not worried about ruining it, I hit it with a hammer, thinking it would crack the shell. This thing is so well made that the case latches didn't break and it popped open. I cleaned the board with wire, wired it up and it worked great. The obvious advice would be if you are using it outside, cover it with masking tape and plastic wrap. Ha!
