Unlike many reviewers, I have no complaints about the cost of a simple molded rubber construction. After some bending and adjusting the license plate, it fits flush quite nicely. with the same screws that I had in before. but attempting to slip those plugs through the lower license plate holes was ridiculous. Macgyver had to use the damn thing like the others, resulting in a noticeable gap between the plate and the rubber. It was really a bad design flaw that they should fix. Can I get another one with no modifications? Probably not, unless a search reveals that there aren't any similar alternatives, in which case I would insert a grinding rod into the bottom holes of the plate and open them wider to actually pop the plugs out without breaking. I agree that the complaints about these forks are valid. One reviewer said it took them a while to put them in, but they get through. Well, I'm a healthy man with strong, well-coordinated arms and resourcefulness when it comes to finding ways to make things work. it took 2 attempts before i said to myself angrily "Dayum, the ratings about the plugs are correct".
