About 20 years ago I had a locking gas cap from Stant and it was much better made with a metal locking mechanism

It locks tight but the locking mechanism doesn't give me a warm fluffy feeling. I had a Stant gas cap about 20 years ago and it was much better with a metal locking mechanism. I swear it's plastic. It really looks and sounds like it. Very light weight. Too much of. I don't want to be stuck somewhere with a cap I can't take off. I'm looking at other items now. I may have wasted my money on this. If you are a brave soul and like to live on the edge not knowing if you can remove the cap at the nearest gas station then you will love this gas cap.
