Although the Amazon product compliance for my truck said it would fit my Dodge Ram 3500 diesel engine it didn't, the easy return policy was a try value . I recommend this product for the quality alone.

This locking gas cap works great. I particularly like the fact that I don't have to lock it again with the key. The only thing that could have made this product even better would be the lanyard to attach it to the fuel filler flap.

Completely unusable! Some people buy a locking gas cap to protect their fuel. This cover does not lock at all, the key turns 1/4 turn and does not lock. Lubrication and pressure are useless. If you try hard enough, the cylinder will even pop out of the assembly completely! Don't buy this junk!

I really enjoyed using it until this winter the little key flap started to freeze so I had to put a blowtorch in the gas cap to actually insert the key. It probably works well somewhere that never goes below zero, but I nearly got stuck at a gas station.

The label on the box states that the 10508D does not fit the 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel as intended. I contacted a third party with no solution. I'm stuck with a lid that doesn't fit. Unfortunately, this purchase turned out to be a waste of time and money. The key needs to be inserted One of the ways it works and I was unimpressed with the build quality. I'm sorry but I don't buy from Stant.

It locks tight but the locking mechanism doesn't give me a warm fluffy feeling. I had a Stant gas cap about 20 years ago and it was much better with a metal locking mechanism. I swear it's plastic. It really looks and sounds like it. Very light weight. Too much of. I don't want to be stuck somewhere with a cap I can't take off. I'm looking at other items now. I may have wasted my money on this. I bought the lid after someone opened mine and left it like that. No damage but it pissed me off so I figured I needed a top cap. That fits and seals. My biggest problem is that you have to keep the key turned when unlocking and it tends to return to the locked position. My key is on my key ring and there isn't much room to maneuver the whole ring in the gas cap area so taking it off does the trick. On the plus side, when it's off you can remove the key and it will turn, click and lock. Overall
