Review on ASUS USB BT500 Bluetooth Backward Compatible by Will Murphy

I'm in trouble. The device worked about two updates ago. Not so much today. See my initial installation problems below. Then check what you need to do to install the driver after each kernel update. Currently when I turn off and do a backup, the driver doesn't turn on until I log in, then uninstall it, then open settings and then turn it back on. Only then can I click the Bluetooth mouse and turn it back on. Until then, you'll need a mouse connected to navigate Gnome Desktop. I don't call it Linux compatible at all. After every kernel update, which is quite common, you need to restart the ASUS software to reinstall the driver. Or use dkms to install the driver automatically. I have a thread on forums.fedora.com where we are trying to figure out how to use dkms with ASUS software. It's very cumbersome to get a Bluetooth headset and mouse to work on Linux. Original review) Had to research how to install the driver, uninstall the Bluetooth drivers that came with Fedora 32, where the files are stored in Fedora 32, how to tell which driver was loaded, and make multiple attempts Install=USB with software download downloaded from Asus website. Also, there is no help for USB BT500 devices on the Asus website. They don't talk. It just sends you back to their help pages. Once you've installed their driver and blacklisted all bluetooth drivers that came with Fedora and maybe moved their drivers to the right places and compressed with xz, the key works fine. At least I haven't had any problems for the last two days. (Four days of research to this point). Not exactly plug and play. Neither is easy. Their makefiles can put things in the right place, but after four days of work I'm not sure if they made it or if I made it with all the trying. Can be used with existing drivers installed, including the ability to pair only once. Or can Bluetooth no longer be switched on. Numerous communication errors in the dmseg log and in the lists. But now I know a lot more about Linux. Something I never really wanted to know about. And I'll probably forget if I have to learn them later. Or they will change again in the next update. Also, the Fedora 32 kernel is version 5.10.8-100 and the Readme.txt file gives kernel versions 2.6.32 - 5.7.1. I hope that everything is fine with 5.10 and we won't have any problems.
