Update 04/18/2021 - Well something bad happened last night. I was trying to connect my keyboard's USB port to this device and a plastic tab in one of the ports broke my keyboard's USB cable and also shifted the contact points in that port and caused my Mac to stop the USB connection to this device due to Pre- overload accompanied by a burning smell. I managed to get the broken piece of plastic out of the keyboard's USB cable. I disconnected and reconnected all other cables and all other connections worked. I've tried turning off the broken USB port, but the blue light won't turn off. So it could be a combination of the cheap USB ports in this device, the fact that repeated attempts to connect USB cables are wrong 51% of the time, and maybe something in my keyboard cable was causing it to break and caused a short circuit. I can replace it because otherwise it has been working fine since I bought it. Or I can upgrade to a nicer device. I downgraded my rating to 3 stars. --- It's a bit big (but dimensions were given here too). I use it to quickly charge my iPad and peripherals to make music on my Mac. No problems with the backlight, buttons and other things. In fact, the ability to enable and disable ports is useful. It's been in use for over two weeks and no complaints.
