Review on Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Block, Cold Press, 11x15 Bound - High-Quality 15-Sheet Watercolor Paper Block by Jessica Lewis

I became a paper snob after gaining more experience with watercolor. I've spent a lot of money on bows and Fabrianos. This paper actually absorbs brush strokes and allows each color to stand out as a separate layer. The downside is that it's not super absorbent and may not retain grainy paint as easily. However, for those jobs where I want the watercolor to speak for itself with every brush stroke, this is perfect for me. If rubbed or handled without planning, the paper peels off easily, but I've had no problem with it warping. Plus: Dashes of each color are displayed. Where the premium papers that I feel I struggle more with are bows and fabrianos.
