** How to separate glued pages **

A watercolor paper pad is a stack of paper that is glued on all 4 sides. This helps keep the paper stretched so the paper doesn't puddle when wet. In the middle of one of the pages you will find a small area that is NOT glued. This is where you need to insert a palette knife or a blunt kitchen knife that won't damage the paper. Insert a knife and gently run it along the edge to separate the paper from the pad. I give this paper 2-3 stars because it's not the best quality. Arches is much more…

Good Paper

I became a paper snob after gaining more experience with watercolor. I've spent a lot of money on bows and Fabrianos. This paper actually absorbs brush strokes and allows each color to stand out as a separate layer. The downside is that it's not super absorbent and may not retain grainy paint as easily. However, for those jobs where I want the watercolor to speak for itself with every brush stroke, this is perfect for me. If rubbed or handled without planning, the paper peels off easily, but…

My favorite

Have been using this pad for at least six years now. This is my favorite for texture, size and price! I use it for my more traditional artwork, but lately it's my main use for my online comic which has a more silly style. I split the 11x15 page into three strips so each strip is the perfect size to scan. Very seldom have I ever had quality issues, and I tend to poop my paper by recycling sheets, accidentally falling asleep and drooling all over them, and laying on many layers of materials, even
