Before purchasing these fenders, I read all the reviews and took them into account before fitting. I've read that some had to take the tires off to get the bolts out. I really didn't want this, so I used a 3/8" ratchet, a 1/4" socket and a #15 torx bit and it worked great. I had enough free space to easily remove the screws. I tried reinstalling the same screws and as some said I couldn't get them to catch on anything because they were too short. I went to the hardware store and bought some slightly longer stainless steel screws and had no problem finishing the project with the longer screws. Looking at the photos of the fenders I was a little worried they would be shorter than I wanted, but they turned out to be exactly the length I wanted. They look amazing and a few winters will show how durable they are. They were very easy to install and I would recommend them to anyone. Edit: I forgot to mention that my safety band was barely clogged. There's no chance of separating them. I used a precision knife while the tape was still on the backing and quickly separated them.
