As other reviewers have said, it's not insulated at all so it doesn't hold ice at all. This is a very nice radiator and goes very well with my husband's 68 GMC demo truck. However, when I received and opened it (I ordered it as a gift for my husband) I was very disappointed with the build quality. It is very carelessly built. I ended up showing it to him beforehand so he could decide whether to keep it or send it back.
