Absolutely great bonus in the toolbox and a great alternative to an expensive device for simple "pass or fail" testing ", the device displays "open or short circuit" and even detects bad contacts. Another reason I love this guy is that he has a tone generator (stick sold separately), but I already had a stick. He sends tone via rj11, rj45 and coax or any signal and ground wire with adapters (not included), it also has 4 or 5 different tone tones this unit comes with "remote controls" for mapping but it will not tested during mapping but it's not a deal breaker for me as I don't use it for mapping.
