Review on Ceramic Rod Arkansas Sharpeners by Andrew Krishna

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best knife sharpener on Revain alongside The Lansky Blade Medic

This stone is amazing. It works great with all my knives (Benchmade, Cold Steel, Morakniv, Kershaw, Schrade, Buck, Old Timer, Ganzo, CRKT, Kitchen Knives and more). I no longer use wet stone. When the edge of my blade is really worn, I use the Lansky Blade Medic (preinstalled carbide guides allow the blade to be reshaped at a 30 degree angle after four to ten passes through the carbide guides). I then use an Arkansas 8 1/2" ceramic rod to make the serrated blade edge, which carbide guides make after forming the blade edge (the ceramic rod makes the metal serrated blade edge smooth/sharp as glass). ) After thirty to sixty seconds with Using the Arkansas 8 1/2" ceramic stick, I use a razor blade and make ten to twenty equal passes over the skin to remove any extra burrs on the edge of the blade. After that I was done. Lansky Blade Medic costs between $10 and $13. For a thinner/thinner/sharper blade edge, try the $12-$15 Lansky Quad Sharp (it's pre-marked and preset at 17 degrees, 20 degrees, 25 degrees, and 30 degrees). The two Lansky knife sharpeners Blade Medic and Quad Sharp are small and portable. I currently have three Blade Medics in my bugout bags. Camping bags and a Quad Sharp knife sharpener for home use. The 17 degree carbide guides allow you to create an extremely sharp fillet knife in less than fifteen seconds (plus an additional thirty seconds when you adjust the blade).
