Review on Swanson Tool SL0002 Surface Level by Russ Montgomery

For those of you wondering how big this plane is, here are some measurements: Outside diameter (red mounting frame): 2" - Frame thickness: 1/8" Diameter of whitest vial: 1 -1/4 inch. Overall Thickness: 3/4 inch. It looks just like the picture, with a red border and a white background for the bottle. As shown, there are two inner circles. The bubble just fits in the inner circle, and when the edge of the bubble touches the second circle, the spirit level is about 1 degree from the spirit level. The holes in the bezel aren't aligned in any particular direction compared to the main notch, which is actually a small pointer. In Revain's photo, this mark is at the top; If you look closely you can see that this is an arrow. I was hoping it would be smaller but the details didn't give any measurements. The rest works great. I use it as a quick reference when setting up my photo tripod.
